The Eulogy of Sister Buelah Beatrice Hampton

Today we are in for a special treat. In this episode we travel back to May 10, 2008, and experience Pastor Hampton give the eulogy for the love of his life, Buelah Beatrice Hampton. Pastor Hampton and his wife, Beatrice, came together in holy matrimony on May 8, 1954 and were blessed to see 54 wonderful years of marriage. From this blessed union came 11 children and 40 grandchildren. Pastor Hampton and his wife, Beatrice, spent countless time laboring together all across the United States and North America in various church of God congregations, attending a plethora of different camp meetings, holding revivals in numerous states, launching out on several mission trips, visiting the homes of the precious saints of God, and ultimately building, expanding, and leading the great work back at home in Jackson, Michigan. 

Bound in the Spirit

Even in Pastor Hampton's older age, his message never lost its depth and anointing. On January 16, 2015, in Springfield, Ohio, Brother Hampton delivered the challenging burden on his heart. His burden was for the saints of God to truly understand that we must operate under as if we were slaves to the Spirit of God; bound in the Spirit. Any and all spiritual success in the church has and will come from a people whose lives are not their own. 

Money

Friend, God himself desires your foremost attention, concern, and pursuit. The general course of the world suggests that money ought to be the thing we spend the most time going after, the thing we think about the most, and that which holds the most value to us. In this message, preached on September 27, 1981, Pastor Hampton proclaims how easy it can be to slip into a state in which the way you spend your time and energy proves that money is your primary aim, and how to guard against that dangerous, normalized, anti-Christian condition.

A Perfect Attitude

On Wednesday October 13, 1999, Pastor Hampton delivered his burden about the people of God having a perfect attitude. Though this is a rarity today, it is a necessity. Without this message being lived out in the church, there will be no church because an imperfect attitude stops the process of God. However, when this experience is present, God can form each saint into a vessel that He can use for His glory because they are able to bear chastisement, and be perfected by it!

Simplicity

Friend, we are living in a rushed world. It is easier now more than ever to be caught up in the busyness and complexities of life. In this message Pastor Hampton takes his text from 2 Corinthians 11:3, and instructs us to pursue the simple lifestyle God has called us to as Christians. Most of the world is tirelessly working to advance their personal affairs at the expense of their spiritual condition. We can not afford to have divided affection in regards to the things of God. As we explore this message today, God help us all to slow down the pace of our lives, scale back in our earthly involvement, and give ourselves exclusively to God.

Don’t Come Down

There are some very exalted positions in this world, but if you are a true saint of God, you are elevated above them all! On Wednesday September 2, 1987, Pastor Hampton plainly manifested how full salvation is an experience that exalts the saints above the world and its ways, but with this position comes a great responsibility. Though the devil plots and attempts to pull us down, we must not come down an inch. We must hold it because we may be the only light in someone's life.

There Is Hope

Friend, no matter what your situation is, there is hope! This message takes us back to a very pivotal, deciding, and special moment in Pastor Hampton's ministry, in the beginning of 1986. At this time the congregation was experiencing a multitude of very intense situations, and the pressure was on like never before. Upon delivering the message Pastor Hampton experienced a shift of thought and took his text from Job 14:7. Early into the message we experience the Holy Ghost completely take over the atmosphere and refresh His people in historic fashion. 

Out to Win

In this message, Pastor Hampton brings out the mindset that the saints must have in order to be to make it to heaven. He pulls his text from the ending phrase of Philippians 3:8, "that I may win Christ." His burden was for the saints to understand that settling for just being saved is not enough; we must have a violent mindset. We must have a mindset that every enemy we face we are going to tear into it and we are going to win because God is with us!

Our Choices

Who we are and what we have become today is a direct result of the choices we have made. Dear listener, we are in a constant battle against the enemy of our soul, who works endlessly to cause us to make the wrong choices. In this episode Pastor Hampton takes his text from Joshua 24:15, and stirs us all to be aware of the seriousness of our choices, and strive to be amongst those few who's choices align in total congruency with the will of God. 

The Beautiful Church of God

Friend, listen closely today. Society has made a successful effort in eliminating the presence, influence, principles, and voice, of God's church in our everyday lives. God only has one church, and she is beautiful. In this episode, Pastor Hampton walks us masterfully through the book of Songs of Solomon and how Solomon's descriptive word choice connects to the traits of "The Beautiful Church of God" today.
